Scott “ Robo” Delfa was a 30 year veteran of the west Chester county department of corrections in Valhalla New York. He began his career on June 19, 1989 and retired as a highly decorated and respected officer in June 22 of 2019. He was an instructor in the department training academy for many years and during that time he derived great joy and fulfillment from passing on the wealth of knowledge obtained from his many years of experience to the next generation of correctional officers. He was also a member of the departments honor guard, he was also very involved with the correction officers benevolent Association for many years holding every office in the union besides President. Scott started an annual ride in honor of all the members of the department who passed away while in service this ride raised money for the construction of a monument in honor of the following members of the department this ride is officially known as “Scotty’s ride” for the fallen. Scott will be remembered for many things but mostly his dedication to his family friends and his career Scott was a man of unparalleled integrity and he was passionate about everything he did Scott believed anything worth doing deserves his whole heart and with that is exactly what he put into everything he did.
